About NewBo Art Fest
The Fest began in 2007 as the New Bohemia Music Festival. The founders of the festival, the New Bohemia Group, wanted to provide Cedar Rapids with a unique visual and performing arts experience that celebrated the creative spirit of the New Bohemia Arts and Entertainment District.
It is the New Bohemia Group's goal to support local arts of all media's and provide commerce for the local merchants, bars and restaurants. The festival has become an annual tradition.
In the years since the festival began, it has grown and developed with the New Bohemia District. This year is the fourteenth year of the festival.
The 2020 NewBo Art Festival features an art fair along 3rd Street and 11th Avenue, Invitational Sculpture Show in the Cherry Building, Emerging Artists Gallery on Third Street, Kids Tent off Third Street, music and entertainment on the NewBo City Market outdoor stage, as well as live music in venues located throughout the District.
The NewBo Art Festival is a rare mix of music, art, theatre, dance and food – come enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of NewBo Art Fest!
